Saints on a Mission (SOAM) is a Non-Profit 501c(3) organization comprised of readily willing people from various diverse backgrounds throughout Cincinnati, Ohio and Chicago, Illinois. Our goal is to provide outreach that impacts the whole person spiritually and naturally. This includes the personal growth and spiritual achievement of individuals. We inspire to make a difference in the community by offering ministry, educational, and social programs for families including but not limited to at-risk youth and the elderly.

Saints of a Mission was founded in 1996 by Doug Barren, Sr. It’s original intent was to be a one time trip with his wife Doris, and their daughter along with four other members of the church. The mission was to raise money for Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Morvin, Alabama, to have central air and heat installed. What started with seven people and a van has grown into a yearly mission trip with an average of thirty people on a charter bus. SOAM has been able to help several churches in that area. After the trip in April 2006, Doug and his daughter, Janice, decided that there was more work to be done. There is a lost and dying world out there and we need to reach them. It was at this time they realized SOAM needed to become official, and thus became Non-Profit. As well as making donations to small churches with low membership in poverty stricken areas, we will offer social programs and outreach for families in the community with emphasis on children, single-parent homes, and the elderly. If people like SOAM would come together to help the community, there wouldn’t be such a big need for government assistance.
Saints on a Mission exists to zealously assist faith-based organizations and families in the U.S. by offering outreach programs to impact the whole person spiritually and naturally. We are committed to raise money to make contributions to faith-based organizations, provide ministry, education, and social programs for families, including at-risk children and the feeble elderly.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
YES!! IT IS SO!!
Saints on a Mission will travel to Thomasville, Alabama in April for a special event. This will be a fundraising event to benefit Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church in completing their vision of joining/connecting the community center to the church building.
It will be a time of fellowship, sharing, celebrating, and just seeing the great work that God has done in that area with, and through that local body. It is an awesome testimony to know that SOAM completed the mission that God gave. Let's go see the fruit of our labor!!
The cost is $290.00 per person. That includes transportation and lodging.
If you can't attend, consider sponsoring someone or making a tax deductible donation.
